The Daily News says the Government will introduce a short Bill to deal with Nonconformist grievances. It provides no tests for teachers under popular control, and for Cowper-Temnle teaching in single school areas. GERMAN AFRICAN RAILWAYS. Received 5, 12.5 a.m. Berlin, February 4. The German railway from Daressalctu to Lake Tanganyika is completed and must exercise an important influence 'n Central Africa's economic future.
VON DERGOLZ SENTENCED. Received 5, 12.5 a.m. Berlin, February 4. Lieut, von Dergolz was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in a fortress for insubordination. The charge of betrayal of military secrets was not proven. On von Dergolz' behalf, Erhadts asked a former fellow-officer for certain gunnery tables and scheduled prices. HOLLAND-AMERICA'S OFFER ACCEPTED. Received !i, V2s a.m. Berlin', February 4. Berlin has accepted the Holland-Amer-ica's suggestion, and the agreement ; s extended until the end of February, to enable a further conference of the Atlantic shipping companies.
