The heats of the 50yds distance ot the .Masters Cup were swum at th-j baths 011 Tuesday night. Following are details of the racing: First heat: 15. V. Kivell (osec) 1, Spratt (Usee) 2. Also started: Wilkie (1 Oscc). G'.ollop (14sec). A elose finish. Time, 45 2-5 see. Second heat: Whiltington (lOsee) 1, K. IT. Kivell (scr) 2. Also started: Dcwar (Ssec) and Oxlev (Usee). MI four linished close together. Time( 42 see. Third heat: Kelly (lOsee) 1, C. M. Kivell (lsec) 2. Also started: C. Kivell (tisec). A elose finish. Time, 42see.
The final will be swum at the end of the week. Next week the heals of the 75yds distance will he swum.
In view of the local sports oil the lTtli, ami the probability of outside clubs Bowling in polo teams, it is satisfactory to note that a Stratford polo team will be a likely competitor at the luylewooil sports 011 the 13th.
