The Church of England harvest festival was to havo taken place on Thursday, but owing to the heavy rain was postponed till Friday, when again il was wet, but it cleared a little about S.uO p.m. and allowed those who lived flose to attend. [iy this time a fair crowd had mustered, and the gift auction was proceeded with,and after all the things were disposed of supper was handed round and the hall cleared for dan:j ng. • The old residents of this district will •be very sorry to hear of the death of one of their most favorite schoolnuites, Mrs. Henry Forsyth! (nee Mary Stevenson), who passed peacefully away at Eltham on Thursday morning last, leaving four little boys,' the eldest six vears and the youngest only live days, (ircat sympathy will be felt for the bereaved Taniilv and relations in their great loss. The funeral took plaeo on Sa'turda,» afternoon. a very large cortege following. Five of her brothers and a, brother-in-law bore her to her last resting-place, beside one of her little sons. in< the Idtham cemetery.
