FROZEN ON TONGUES.
The medical office's for the Port. .if London have made a lYiiiirt on the occurrence of tuberculosis and actinomycosis in ox tongues Jinporied from Smith Amcrice in a freezing condition. They state that 5 per cent, of the Aiwiitinc tongues examined were found to be affected, MHiie of the eases suggesting foot-and-mouth disease. The conditions are statedto be widely prevalent in Argentine cattle, and importers are advised to insist on the glands being left attached to the tongues. Until a bettor system of inspection is introduced in Argentine the officers say it will be necessary to exaniin ■ every tongue that comes into the por; of London from that source. .
