Now Plymouth Amateur Swimming Club is feeling pleased with itic'i ] just now since its water polo team won the final match in the West Coast Championship.-; at Ilawem, beating Ilawera. l>y three goals to two. after an exciting contest. It was unforLuiute that owing to the shovti notice given it of the date of the fixture, the New Plymouth Club was not able to enter for the other competitions, a slate of affairs which it is to he hopeil will he remedied in future fixtures. One feature of the competitions at ITawera was the excellent accommodation for speo--1 tutors which the Ilawera baths provide, fn this respect the New Plymouth baths are found wanting, and it; is to the interests of the sport that .they should not long remain so. Spectators must he very keen to attend a-_ match where there is insufficient seating accommodation. Til Swimming is coming on at Inglcwood. where there are reported to he several first-class men. The club's carnival will be held in tlm Inglewood baths on February 1:1. The. New Plymouth clutis sports will be held on the following (Thursday.
