ALLEGED FORGERY. By Telegraph—l'ress Association. Auckland, Last Night. Air. Cutten, S.M., heard charges of forgery this morning against a young Maori named Tolii Huitoroa, aged 23 years, who was alleged to have obtained from the Native Land Board certain sums of money, totalling £BS, that right]v belonged to his younger brother named Tarawhete, and still a minor. ' The accused reserved his defence, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. A YOUNG WOMAN IN TROUBLE. Giaborne, Last Xigltt. To night tho police arrested Grace Wood, ngetl 20, on a charge of manslaughter of iher illegitimate child, which was found dead at Waimata on the 18th inst.
