Pope, Secretary for Agriculture, is forwarding by direction of the Premier, a letter to local bodies interested stating tlnil the Government proposes to expend a sull'icient sum in exhibiting primary products and manufactures at the Panama Exposition. Sir. Clifton j will be in charge. The Premier is desir- j ous of seeing,a central committee set? up in Wellington and advisory commit- I toes in other centres, and invites suggestions in this connection. The commissioner at the Exposition will be pro- ■ vided with an ample stall', which will lie aide to lake caiv of and to explain private exhibits in those cases in Avhiclt exhibitors do not purpose to have their own representatives in attendance.
