■\Ve have to acknowledges receipt of i the programme of tho Taranaki Agricultural Show, which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, February '2.3 and 20. Wo have, to compliment the Association on the way they have catered for every class of exhibitor from the liorsc breeder to the sheep and cattle : mail, with ample provision for the dairyj man, and classes for every kind and description of the canine tribe. Thou the produce provides for another important 'section, ('specially in a district like Tnr-a-nalci which might justly be called th" home of the butter industry in New Zealand. The association has also provided a first-class spectacular programme for each day. There are the ladies' driving and riding; competitions, maiden leaping and pony leaping competitions on the lirst day. whilst on the se;:o .d there, lire leaping competitions (steeplechase style) and leaping competition for ladies. There is al*o a harnessing and unharnessing competition for ladies. As valuable prizes have been allotted to all of these events good enlvies should be received.
