ZULU REVOLT SUPPRESSED.
A GOVERNMENT WAUNI.NG. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright London, January 23. An exchange telegram states that the Zulu revolt at Middlesburgh, during the absence of the troops who arc maintaining order in Johannesburg, has been suppressed. ' When the Zulus saw the burghers leaving Middlelmrgh for the Rand, emissaries were sent to Zululand to report that the time was opportune for a revolt, as the whites were warring against each other. The emissaries were arrested More reaching Zululand. Evidence shows that they intended to murder the only white remaining in the vicinity. The Government sent a large patrol to Middleburgh, warning tho Zulus that at the first signs of violence the offenders would be shot.
