TRIP TO OHURA.
lIV XI'.W PLYMOUTH PAUTY. Fur some time past the settlers of the Olmra valley lnivc been asking members of the Taranuki Chamber of Commerce to visit their district, with a view to I seeing something of the country and gaining knowledge of the possibilities of the Ohiira valley when it should ho opened up. Arrangements have now been completed for |he I rip. and to-morrow at S a.m. Messrs -Newton King, .lolm l'alon, C. 11. Unrgess., 'B. W. Shaw, A. K. Sykes. and T. C. List will leave New Plymouth per motor car for Kotare. At Kotare they will leave the cars, ,and proceed on' liorse-baek to Oliura, which they expect to roach the same, evening. They will bo accompanied by Messrs. 0. K. Wilson and 11. Okey, M.l'.'s. Monday will be spent in looking over the Olmra district, and the party will turn homewards next day. The return journey will be made through (he T.mgarakau gorge, down the .Moki road, and by (lie Kiwi (rack to Okau, where the cars will meet them. They expect to be back in New Plymouth on Wednesday evening. The pilgrimage, should prove interesting and instructive.
