In the case against Walter E. linnson. a charge of failing to attend parades. which had been adjourned in older for evidence to be called as to his absence from the parades specilied. the required evidence was given bv I apt. ,1. W. Boon, ; Defendant stated that he had been granted leave from parade, as he was working at night. ' This the witness confirmed, but said that ou this occasion defendant was not working. An order was made accordingly, tiie applicant to notify his commanding officer of any change in his occupation. Ail information against him for failing to attend parades was withdrawn. Henry William Frederick Nippert pleaded not guilty lo a charge of failing to attend parades, lie stated that he was a painter in partnership with his brothers. Arthur William Johnstone pleaded guilty to a charge of driving an unlicensed traction engine and trailers on roads in the Taranaki county.
