'fhese reports are connected with his action at tho Democratic. Convention, when Speaker Clark lost the presidency. .Mr Clark has explained that he was merely adhering to the principle of not attending hani;V.els unless under an official obligation to do so, also Unit ho had been told that public men who h-ld died in Washington had dug their graves with their own teeth. This was a warnbig against overwork which the Speaker look to heart.
