(The resolution passed in August was J as follows:—"That this executive, rej cognising the beneficial results of tinstyle of work- in practical agriculture | now being carried on in this district, is ,' of opinion that its scope should be in-, creased and that an agricultural school he established in Ilawera). ' Mr. Davidson seconded Mr. Dunn's motion, a'nd it was carried unanimously.
A XFAV PROPOSAL. Mr. Xewton King' wrote acknowledging receipt of (he executive's resolution with reference to the auctioneers giving out the names of buyers ami sellers, and that the same would have considcration. It was decided that. Mr. Xewton Kmbe thanked for his reply, and the hope expressed that the executive's request, would be put into execution.
PIiOVIXCI AL COXFEREXCF.. It was decided that the provincial conference be held at Paten on Thursday, May 14, at KIM o'clock. OROAXKVrjOX. The question of organisation was discussed, and it was finally decided, on the motion of Messrs Capper r.ml Washer, to write to Mr. D. Joue3, of Canterbury, asking if he would take on the organisation, ami at what time and on what terms. Mr. done* did very good work in a similar capacity for the Canterbury province.
STRIKE IiXPF.XSKS. The secretary was instructed lo write to the Defence Committee in Wellington lor information in respect to promises from Taranaki for funds for defence purposes in connection with recent industrial disturbances, and if the moneys have not been paid what steps were being taken to collect the amounts.
