WESTLAND'S JUBILEE.
THE C'MSINT! FESTIVITIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hokitika, Saturday. The weather continues glorious for the jubilee celebrations and all the functions are passing off most successfully. The jubilee ball brought together a great crush. Two long trains left for Ross, where a day's festivities have been arranged for and the excursionists return to llokitikn for a fireworks display to-night. The, Governor is to-day visiting the hospital and public-institu-tions, leaving at 1 p.m. for (treymoutn. The pioneers ar.j delighted with their treatment and are loud in their praise of the hospitality provided. It has heen a memorable time for the town and district. All are delighted with the prospoets j of Westland. Replying to a deputation the Minister for Public Works said he intended to push on with the Completion' of the Otira Tunnel as quickly aa he could.
