\ SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. < Wellington, Last Night. Summary—A westerly storm area is now passing southward of the Dominion, and strong north-westerly winds have been experienced, especially in Cook and Foveaux .Straits. Rain has fallen in the southern district? l , and scattered shower* elsewhere. The barometer has fallen in the north, but has risen in the south today. Forecast —Present indications are for trong north-westerly to south-resterly finds, with changeable and showery Feather generally. The barometer is jnsteady end will probably rife temporarily in the south.
