JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. I Hokitika, Yesterday. The Westland (iold'Jields Jubilee celewere continued to-day in per- j feet weather. The. town was full of ' visitors. The principal function to-day was a monster picnic at Lake Manina pua, where a sports programme was ar- ■ ranged by the Friendly Sooi"ties. Their Excellencies and tlio Parliamentary party motored to Lake Ivanieri in the forenoon, visiting Dorothy Waterfall, then Mirror Creek, travelling 1> launch to Maliinapua, where the- joined the pioneers. 1 liis Excellency returns this | afternoon for trout fishing in the Hokitika l'iver. Hokitika, La.it Night. The weather was ideal a<;"ain to-day for the Westland Jubilee celebrations. Their Excellencies the Earl and Countess ot Liverpool, visiting members of Parliament and of local bodies motored to Lake ICaneiri, visiting the famed Dorothy Falls. Ilia Excellency express''! delight with the grandeur of the scenery, and lie was highly itleaseil with the trip.
