The much-dis-cussed waltz on the stairs, which created quite a sensation in London and Australia, is danced by Miss Florence , Young and .Mr. Frank (Ireene. Tito two performers dance rhvthmiUcally all •the way up the ducal staircase, along the hall and down the steps on the other side, all the while keeping time to the strains of Franz Lehar's fascinating waltz, which, life his waltz in "The Merry Widow," is one of the best features of the opera. Ylasta Novotna and Charles Albert, it is stated, electrified" audiences in 'Auckland in a nnh|ue and graceful dance entitled "Dansc l'ompcmieUe." A dainty novelty in the' 'dancing way is I hat introduced by Dorothy ISruntou in (he lirst act of l.ehar's opera. "The Count of Luxembourg" was described in Sydney as being "bright, breezy, tuneful, and staged in a,manner seldom excelled by the J. C. Williamson management."
