AUSTRALASIAS CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE NEW ZEALAND TEAM. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. A special meeting of the Council of tin- New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held this evening. Messrs'. Bridge and Pollock (selectors-) reported thai, the following team had been chosen to represent New Zealand at the Australasian championship mieeting:— A. W. Dormer (Auckland), middle distances; G. I*. Koddell (Southland), hurdles and broad jump; McHolm (Napier), hammer and shot-putting events; 1). Oashman (Wellington), walks; J. Reatson (Otago), distance events. ■ The selection was approved, and the men, with the exception of Beat son, will leave at once for Auckland, where they will compete at the Exhibition sports on Saturday, leaving for.Sydney on January 20. Bealson will travel via Bluff and join the train at Melbourne. Mr W. H, Pollock was selected as manager of the team (subject to liis consent), ami-dele-gate, to the Australasian Amateur Athletic Union conference, which will take place during the championship meeting. Mr Keddell was appointed co-delegate. Robert Adams, on the recommendation of the Auckland Centre, was reinstated as an amateur. W. A. Cox was instruct. cd to renew his 'application for reinstatement after two years from the date of his last performance (April. ll)l»).
