BOhuuUri Oi 1 ' -Si.W i-i.i.iiOui'U. is hereby given that at a Special Meeting oi the Mew Plymouth Borough Council, held on the Eighth day of December, 1013, the following resolution was passed: — "In pursuance and exercise ot the powers vested in it in that behalf bj "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908, and "The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, ISJOS," and the amendments thereof respectively, the Now Plymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: (a) That a special loan of £4,100 be raised for the purpose of providing the contribution of £3,959 required from the said Council by, the Tara- . naki Hospital and Charitable Aid lioard, for the erection oi a new Hospital, such special loan to include the cost of raising same and the preliminary expenses in connection therewith, '(b) That the security for repayment of the said loan and the interest thereon be a special rate of threepence in the pound upon the rateable value oi ail rateable property in the Borough of New Plymouth." And notice is hereby also given that the said resolution will he submitted to »n ordinary meeting of the said Council, to be held at the Town Hall, King Street, New Plymouth, on Monday, the Twelfth day oi January, 1014, at 7-30 p.m., (or confirmation as a Special Order. > DATED this 10th day of December. 1013. ' on a loan of £4OO (to cover J a Government grant of £4OOI j authorised to be raised by the \ Egmont County Council under j the above mentioned Acts for j the purpose of defraying a por-1 • tionof the cost of forming, met- j ailing, and improving the Carwngton road between the Puniho Road and the Xewall Road, in the County of Egmont, the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate «f five-seventeenths (5-lTths) of a penny' in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Special Rating area, and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of sucli loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-sis and a-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the rate of interest to be 4'/» per cent. The cost of , raising the loan to be paid out of the said loan."
