A PECULIAR ACCIDENT.
TRAMWAY CONDUCTOR IKJfRBn. Ily Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A .somewhat peculiar accident occurred, about 0 p.m. yesterday, to a tramear coniluclor named Lindsav Jack. The ear had reached the terminus, in front . of the Post Office, Queen Street, when suddenly a loud cry was heard from the rear of the ear. The inspector and the uiolornun van to see what was the matter. and found the conductor lving nn"ou<cious on tlie platform. lie had evidently received a severe electric shock, hill no one saw how it occurred. The conductor was taken to the hospital. where he recovered consciousness late nieht. He is now progressing satisfactorily. II was evident that bis . arm* au<l shoulders had been alTectel, though 110 serious burns were noticeable.
