AUCKLAND AND NAPIER EXPRESSES.
The new General .Manager of the New Zealand Railways (Mr E. ir. Hiley) 'a at present considering tho advisability of shortening the traveling time of both the Main Trunk express and the "Napier - mail train. It is considered that tha trip to Auckland from Wellington can be done in 17 hours, whilst one h§urand 20 minutes can be taken off the Napier ' uin. This proposal will lie good news to the Napier people, who have been agitating for e quicker service for some tim» nast. The proposed changes, it is understood. are likelv to take effect some time next month.—Dominion.
