A very pretty but quiet wedding was solemnised in the Wln'teley Memorial Church on Thursday, the contracting parties bi'ing .Miss ICllivl JJuclunan, of New Plymouth, anil -Ml Sidney Koiaud Ellison, uf Wanganui, and well known in New Plymouth'. Iler veil win becomingly arranged over a coronet of orange blossoms, and .she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white rosis ami carnation:. Th" bridesmaid was Mis- lilaneho J i : i son (sister of the bridegroom). who was attired in a dainty frock of while ninon relieved with sa.\e-b!uc and enibioideiie. of the same shade. Fn striking contrast was the hat of cerise acro|ihiie. trimmed with saxe-bluc cherries. She carried i. bouquet of cerise sweet peas and carnations. Mr Arthur V. Carbines acted abest, man. After the ceremony a' reception was held at ths residence of the bride's parents, where the bride and bridegroom received many congratulations and good wishes. Mrs Tiuckman (mother of the bride) wore a charming frock of black satin charmeuse relieved with violets-, and ; violet satin straw hat. and carried a bouquet of yiolets. Mrs Ellison. s cnr.. was robed in a white sponge-cloth embroidered and banded in vicux rose tones, accompanied wilh a mole and white chip hat. trimmed wilh feather mount of the same shade, and carried ;t bouquet of roses and sweet pea?. Mrs. Calvert, sister of tint bride, wore a whit" embroidered muslin, and hat of royal blue tulle and lancer ultimo to tone. Mrs F. L, Itossiter. si-ter of the bride, was in a smart mole costume, with hat to match. Mi-s (Hive Buck man wore a pink eolieiine frock with' I cream lace tunic, and hat to match. ■ The bridegroom's gift to the bride was an ameythyst pendant, and the bride's gift to the bridegroom a travelling-case. The'happy couple left for I lie South, the bride travelling in a smart grey costume and stylish white iial trimmed with cerise roses.
