POLICEWOMEN.
APPOINTMENTS IN AMERICA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 30, 12.20 a.m. Ottawa, June 2D. Police-women have been appointed in Vancouver, and similar appointments are being made in Seattle and San Francisco. At the latter place three hundred women have applied for three vacancies. The civic authorities are satisfied with women's work where the system has been tried.
