A gang of Tangistani gun-runners in the Persian Gulf murdered eight of the crew of a Dubai pearling boat, and looted pearls, in retaliation for the Sheik of Dubai seizing the cargo and guns. British cruisers seized many Tangistani dhows, after a fight. The Britishers lost one seaman killed and five wounded.
