BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY. I Per Press Association. Dtuicd.in, June 17. At a meeting of the Presbyterian General Assembly's lbble-in-Schoo!s Committee to-day. it was reported that the Nelson Presbytery bad declined the Assembly's request to assist the Bible-in-Schools movement, because the Presbyteries had not been consulted. Convener Rev. R. E. Da vies was authorised to state that every Presbytery had been consulted, and that favorable replies had been received from almost everyone. Replies were submitted to the Assembly in l!)ll. and in view of the approval thus expressed, the Assembly unanimously adopted the proposals of the committee. Mr. Davies also states that in 1!)12 the Assembly unanimously reallirmed this decision.
