FOOTBALL.
Tukapa First Juniors to play Clifton Juniors at Waitara to-morrow will be chosen from the following: West. Morey, Lovell, McKoy, Speiiee, Lover idge, Warn, Nelson, Carlson, Davis, Piwa. Healey, Smith, Wai-Opae, Jones, and Lester (2).
Much disappointment was felt, not onlv by the Sports Ground Committee and members of the Rugby and Soccer teams themselves, but by hundreds of the general public, who wended their wav to the Recreation Grounds, at the abandonment of the two football matches. Gaptain Halsey, however, did not deem the weather sufficiently settled to allow any men to land. He was afraid that the wind might rise and prevent them returning to the ship. The men themselves were very disappointed, as both teams werealready equipped, and only awaited permission from the commander to come ashore and play. The ship has strong soccer and Rugby teams, who would have given a good account of themselves. It is very disappointing to the Sports Ground Committee, who had gone to much trouble over the match, including the arranging of dinners for both teams"
