I EGMONT RACING CLUB. COMMITTEE MEETING. At a committee meeting of the Egmont Racing Club on Thursday, a notification was received to the effect that the valuation of the club's racecourse property had been raised to £65 per acre. The valuation for the property and improvements now stands at £10,807. The Taranaki Jockey Club wrote regretting that it was unable to agree to change dates with the Egmont Racing Club for their respective February race meetings. The secretary presented an interim balance-sheet in connection with the recent winter meeting, which showed an approximate profit of £ll3B. A list of owners who had failed to pay fees in connection with the summer meeting was passed preparatory to placing their names upon the inpaidl forfeit list. | It was resolved that the stake money i for the Egmont Stakes of 1915 be £3OO ( £4OO first horse, second horse 1 £7O, and | third £3O), and that entries for thjs | race close in September, 1913; also that j the stake money for the Hawera Stakes of 1015 remain at £4OO. entries to I close in September, 1013.—Hawera Star.
