HOCKEY.

Two ladies' matches were played on Saturday, Whakatika A and High School A meeting on the Racecourse Ground, and Whakatika B and Ngatimaru playtag at Tikorangi. The former game 2Ld in favor of Whakatika by 8 goals «o 1. L. Mouat (2), M. Stohr (2), and M. McEwen (4) shot for the dinners, and R. Whitton for School. Mr. Keg. Sole refereed. The other game went to Ugatimaru, who won easily by 6 goals tod. Mr. A. H. Osborne refereed.
