CARRIAGE WORKS BURNED. ;• Per Press Association. Pahiatua, Wednesday. Baucke and Co.'s Crown Carriage Works at Mangahao Road were badly damaged by fire at an early hour this morning. A large quantity of stock in. the upstairs portion of the building was also destroyed. The outbreak is believed to have originated in the office, in the front portion of the building. The insurances are as follows:—Stock £7OO, building £350, in State office. If your property is not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Devon Street; telepli/me 198.
