THREATENED RAILWAY STRIKE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, June 9. Raihvaymen at Burton-on-Trent passed a resolution in favor of an eight-hour day and minimum wage. Mr. Bellamy, the president, declared that the National Union programme would stipulate for a general strike in order to compel nonunionists to join. THE SHIP-BUILDING STRIKE. Received 10, 11.40 p.m. London; June 10. The Amalgamated Union of Labor has applied to the Ship Building Employers' Federation for an increase of two shillings weekly, or ten per centum on piece rates. A DRAMATIC CONFESSION. Received 11, 12.20 a.m. London, June 10. Lent on made a dramatic reappearance during the prosecution of a youth and a girl for attempting to fire Doncaster House. Lenton admitted his guilt, and •was arrested. The gin was acquitted and the youth committed for trial.
