THE WINTER SHOW.
It is absolutely assured that the Winter Show, which opens in the Coronation Hall the day after to-morrow, and continues for the rest of the week, will be the greatest exhibition that has ever been held under the auspices of the Taranaki A. and P. Association. Every available inch of space in the huge Winter Show building, as well as in the two adjoining annexes, and a portion of the section at the back, has been taken up. Exhibitors arc already busv at work arranging their various stalls in preparation for the great opening day. One of the great •attractions'' will be musical recitals to be given bv Miss Ttnbv C'nrran, of Wanganui. This wonderful young pianist is only 12 years of age, and it is said that iier playing will be a revelation to people of this town. She could play bv ear at the age of 2 years, and is undoubtedly a wonderful performer for one so young. The Taranaki Garrison Rand have kindly consented to play from Egmont street to the Show Bu' 1 V. • ,« . u Wednesday and Saturday evenings, and to also render a programme outside the building on Thursday evening. The Show will be officially opened on Wednesday afternoon by Mr. If. ,1. Okev, M.P. for Taranaki.
Particularly good entries have been received for the Do? Trial, which is to be hold at Frankleigh Park on Thursday and Friday next. The first, event has drawn 25 contestants, the second 23, and the third 24. A few more are expected by mail. Dog trials are particularly interesting, and those who attend for the first time will be 'more than surprised at the sagacity of the faithful and intelligent sheep dog
