At the Marconi Committee Mr. Solomon, on behalf of Fenner, a stockbroker, gave evidence that Viscount Elibank had purchased 2500 American Marconi shares on April 18, at 3%. in addition to those he bought through Sir Rufus Isaacs. This statement caused a sensation. Viseount Elibank later purchased 500 at 2 7-16.

*Mr. L. S. Amery, Unionist M.P., aroused a stormy scene by accusing the Liberals of endeavoring to screen Ministers.
