A MURDERER SENTENCED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, June 4. William Barton, a gamekeeper, has been sentenced to death for the murder of Winifred Mitchell. Mitchell left her employment, saying she was going to Canada, and her body was later found buried in a wood. She had been on friendly terms with Barton. INFRINGEMENT OF COPYRIGHT. London, June 4. In the case Marie Corelli v. George Gray arising out of the infringement of the rights of Miss Corelli's "Temporal Power," a verdict was returned in favour of plaintiff and an inquiry ordered ! into Gray's profits in order to assess the damages. A stay of proceedings waa granted pending an appeal. KING'S CROSS ROBBERY. London, June 4. Arrests have been effected in connection with the King's Cross robbery. The jewels have been recovered at Liverpool Street Station, where they were deposited.
