Twenty convicts at Butorsky Gaol, Moscow, secured a cord, wherewith they intended to strangle the warders and utilise their uniforms to gain their freedom. The convicts strangled l one and wounded three others. Shouts of alarmed warders brought in the soldiers, and four mutineers were wounded, and the others overpowered.
