ENQUIRIES FROM FRANCE. By Cable—'Press, Association—Copyright. Received 5, 10.45 pjn. London, June 5. The French Chamber of Commerce has opened negotiations with the Hon. T. Mackenzie with a view to extending the New-Zealand trade. The Chamber discussed, existing barriers, particularly the tariff. . Mr. Mackenzie explained that New Zealand was desirous of extending the market, and suggested the possibility of'mutual concessions.
