By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. | Received 4, 11.40 p.m. Sydney, June 4. The League Committee and a large gathering - of footballers welcomed the New Zealand team. The speakers predicted great battles between well■imatched sides.
The following will play for the Fire Brigade A and B teams at the Central Station to-morrow evening:—A team: Johnson, Lepine,, Stewart, Braund, Allan, Brabant, Nodder, Sadler, Lye, Lynch, .Murphy, Higgs, Roberts, Roch, Bullot, (2). B team:' Inch, Roberts, Allan, McKoy, Sturmey, Colson, Griffiths, Bellringer Petty, Beat, Hammond, Prior, Partington, Holdsworth, R. Kibby, W. Way. The match between East End and ißell Block, which was played last night, resulted in a rather peculiar coincidence, a draw occurring in both cribbage and euchre, not only in the number of games Won, but also in the tables. Each side scored 20 games in cribbage and 17 in euchre, and was successful at two tables in each.
