In the Senate, during a debate oil the admission of Sikhs to Canada, Senator Power expressed the hope that the Sikhs would' not be roused to boiling point against Canada, because of the expulsion of women and children. More than half of the Sikhs had already returned to their homes.

Senator Loughseed, on behalf of the Government, said the Cabinet was considering the whole question. It was difficult for the Government to flout the feeling in British Columbia against Orientals. He hoped a solution would be found. •
