DOMESTIC IMMIGRANTS.
DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER. Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Several ladies connected with the Young Women's Christian Association waited upon the Hon. H. D. Bell to-day for the purpose of inquiring to what extent the Government 'proposed to depend upon the Dunedin branch hostel in connection-with the immigration of domestics to Durtedin. from Great -Britain. The Minister stated that the Government bad no intention of over-taxing the accommodation of the rooms at anv time, but would depend upon the, ladies' governing institution to supply the defect with the names of suitable persons to whom newly arrived domestits could be directed, so as to be certain of having good lodgings during 'the time they might have to await suitable engagenientH.
