In accordance with the desire of the subscribers in New South Wales, the Scott relief fund, totalling about £7OOO, will be devoted to the widows and dependents of those lost.
BATTLESHIP AND SUBMARINE COLLIDE. Recehed 3, 3.5 p.m. London, June 3.
During a mimic attack by a flotilla of submarines upon baitleships off the Nab lighthouse, the battleship Prince, of Wales ran into C 32, and cut away her conning tower and upper works. Both returned to Portsmouth for repairs. Nobody was killed.

Tiie Government has concluded a tentative contract with Griffiths Australia, Ltd., a branch of the Griffiths Norton Company. London, to expend three million on the construction of railways, including the remaining sections of the North Coast and Condoblin-Broken Hill lines. The companv will sesure three million at the current rate of interest, as required, and provide a staff of engineers, the supervisor of the work receiving a remuneration of 5 per cent, on the cost of the work.
SPIRITS FOR SOUTH AFRICA. Received 3, 10.30 p.lll. Capetown. June 3. The Assembly bus agreed to an iri creased excise dutv on spirits, uniform throughout the Union, and an increased Customs duty on spirits.
