ENTERTAINMENTS.
THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES. The Royal Pictures will again occupy the Theatre to-night, when the fine selection screened on Monday evening will again be an view for the second and last occasion. Owing to the Theatre being otherwise engaged there .will bo no pictures showing to-morrow.
EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. The Empire management are giving patrons a brilliant entertainment to-night when there will be introduced an entirely new programme including two strikimr star pictures. A popular film will undoubtedly be the Cines production, "The Rose of Thebes," an Egyptian love story and a most elaborate and stirrhur picture. The film abounds in Eastern magnificence r.nd gorgeous ceremonials besides possessing a thrilling story. Athletes dancers, and all the most attractive Eastern entertainers appear in turn. The other big attraction is a detective story with a novel plot entitled "The Smart Lady Detective."
