About twenty supporters of the Taranaki A. & P. Association attended the working bee at the Coronation Hall yesterday afternoon, and did a lot of useful work. Arrangements for the show are now in a very advanced stage.
There is no possibility, apparently, of the continuance of the double express service to Auckland during the winter. A letter to this effect was received by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce on Monday from the Minister of Railways. The Chamber decided to ask the Government to put on three night expres trains from Wellington to Auckland weekly.
