THE PAPAROA'S TRAGIC ROLL.

Per Press Association,

Wellington, Monday. On Saturday- auernoon, while ■ the steamer Paparoa was approaching Wellington, a passenger named James H. Fish, aged 63 years, who was proceeding to join his sons in Auckland, committed suicide by jumping overboard. The body was not recovered. Two other deaths occurred on the voyage . William Milbourne, aged 50, a seaman, fell from the roof of the officers' house and fractured his skull. He died within two hours. George Le Ineur. aged 27, a passenger, who had been suffering from melancholia, died from heart failure.
