By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Berlin, May 31. ■ The Hamburg-American Imperator, 50,000 tons, the largest ship in the world, is lying off "a desolate part of the coast at Cuxliaven.
There are mysterious rumors that costly carpets have been hacked to pieces, that liquid cement has been poured into the water-pipes and allowed to harden, rendering the water system useless. Two thousand workmen are aboard, and are suspected of perpetrating the outrage. THE DAMAGE DENIED. Received 3, 1.5 a.m. London, June 2. The damage to the Imperator is officially denied. •
