. Rome, June 1. The Chamber of Deputies passed a resolution, congratulating Sir Edward' Grey on his efforts to bring about peace.
AN IMPORTANT MEETING. . . Salonika, June 1. The Greek Minister at Belgrade, the Servian Minister at Athens, and other Servian high officials have arrived, arid have conferred at length with. M. Venizelos, the Greek Prime Minister. Great importance is attached to the meeting. ABUSING THE TRUCE, FLAG. The Bulgarians, under cover of a white flag, established, a post near the Greek lines at Leftera. They also attempted to capture a bridge inside the lines.

The police surrounded his house and ordered him to proceed to Smyrna. SIR E. GREY EULOGISED. THE PEACEMAKERS. Received 3. 12.35 a.m. Berlin, June 2. The North German Gazette, after eulogising Sir E. Grey's sfforts, states that the signing of peace is a proof that the Powers' co-operation resulted in a desirable provisional issue, and is also a stimulus to further joint action. The . paper is hopeful that the Allies will 1 amicably settle their own disputes.

j TURKEY'S NEUTRALITY.
Received 2, 11.40 p.m. London, June 2. M. Daneff has hurriedly returned to Sofia. ■
M. Pasich and M. Gueschoff have arranged to confer at Tharibrod, whence both are journeying daily. The Mail's Sofia correspondent states that it is reported that M. Venizelos has resigned and does not wish to bear the responsibility of the warlike disposition of the troops against Bulgaria. Constantinople, June 2. M. Nachevitch, formerly Bulgarian representative at Constantinople, has arrived on a special mission, which is believed to be to secure Turkey's neutrality in the event of a j Graecg-Servian-Bulffar-ianwar. -
Kismail Pasha has departed for Smyrna.
Salonika, June 2. Several thousand Turks from Bulgaria have enlisted and undertaken duty on the lines of communication , between Seres and Drama.
TURKEY'S .DEMOBILISATION.
Constantinople, June 2. The Turkish demobilising lias been delayed pending a solution of the Allies' dispute.
