SHOCKING RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

A MAN KILLED. Per Press Association. Thames, Last Night. A shocking fatality occurred at the Thames station on the- departure of the special train to Waihi last night. Thomas Dick, aged 31, a resident of Waihi, attempted to board the moving train, but missed his footing and was swung under the carriage, the wheels of which passed over him. Dick was horribly mutilated, one leg being almost torn off. The carriage had to be jacked off the body. Death was instantaneous.
