ENGINEERS' PAY. By Telegraph—Press Association Wellington, Friday. -I lie agreement between the Marine Engineers Institute and the smallei shipping companies in the matter oi an<l conditions has been signed. All that now remains is for the ,><rreement to be referred to *tk>. Arbitration Court for ratification as an award. The rates for engineers are as follows: Inder 20 nominal horse-power, £2O per month; -20 to 40 h.p., £22; 40 to 60 h.p. W " h 'P- 8 0 to 100 n.p., ±2<i 10s. Second engineers £l7 10s third £ls 10s. Fourteen days' allowance a year on full pay is provided for.
