I THE ASSOCIATION GAME. ' By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. ' The annual meeting of the New Zealand <*Tootba)l' Association was held tonight, Mr. W. Muncton (Auckland), presiding. The annual report showed that the affiliated associations now numbered thirteen, and each was promoting the soccer game among youths. The school competitions in the larger centres were on a firm footing. The balance-sheet showed a balance of assets over liabilities of £OO. Lord Liverpool was elected patron, and Sir Joseph Ward president. Some discussion took place on the Wellington Association's objection to Mr, Wm. Matheson, treasurer, sitting in the cduncil while also being a player. Eventually Mr. Matheson was reappointed treasurer. The other officers elected? were: Secretary, B. L. Salmon; assistant secretary, A; C. Kerr; representative to : Football Association, A. E. Gibbs (London),- trustees, W. M. Matheson and J. M. Oliver; auditor, A. J. Barnett. ' Wanganui was asked to supply particulars of the.suspension imposed by that * 'Association. JUNIORS. v CLIFTON (0) v. Clifton had the, best of the first spell, and in the second spell Stratford picked up and almost equaled matters, scoring 8 points. THE ASSOCIATION GAME The match between New Plymouth and Stratford was played on the Tukapa ground yesterday, and there was a fair attendance. The game, which was fast and interesting, resulted in a-win for New Plymouth. Wylic scored twice, and Gwillini and Rea once each. Newsome scored for Stratford.

A match, will be played at Stratford r on June 3 between the A and B team*,' and on the merits of the play will rest the selection of the team to play against ii.M.S. New Zealand's team.
