THE BROTHERHOOD.
To the Editor. Sir,—May I suggest through your paper that an invitation ho extended to each of the clergy resident in Xew Plymonth without exception to deliver an address (in their turn) during the present session of the brotherhood? A* the movement is entirely unsectarian there can surely lie no objection to this suggestion, which, if acted upon, would cause a greater public interest ui this excellent organisation. Up to the present most of the clergy have livid themselves aloof from the movement, possibly through default of being asked. This is much to be regretted, as (he public are apt to come to the eoudnsion that (lie bulk of (he clergy :ire most unsympathetic. | 'remember some veai's ago in 'fhrislchnrch. hot)] (he Anglican and Catholic-T.ishous of that city occupied the same platform one Sunday afternoon, and delivered mi address to a large gathering of Friendly Societies Surely our local clergv can follow such a lead. T?v so doing tliev will do much to establish a trim entente eordiale amongst the various denominations, a slate of things much to he desired. I banking you for space.—l am, etc. •, •> . FCATKR.
