OPTIMISTIC VJEWS. By Cables-Press Association—Copyright. London, May 20. Mr. J. Pease, president of the Board <of Education, addressing the Peace So.ciety, at,the Mansion House, said: "We are now as a nation just as friendly towards Germany as towards any other country.** Sir Edward Grey, through Mr. Pease, sent a message regarding the general outlosk. He said: "Although the causes working'for war are not yet dead, I am conscious, that greater causes are working for peace, and strengthening the «ause of peace."
