STRUCK WITH A BOTTLE OF WHISKY. ». By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, May 20. At Otautau yesterday, Jas. Chambers, 35 years of age, was charged with assaulting Archibald McArthur and doing him grievous bodily harm. The facts tie stated are that the accused was in the Orawai store, when a Territorial ■who had been at camp, came in with a bottle of whisky in his pocket. Accused went to take the lio f .tle, and McArthur, who was in e'earge of the store, asked him to leave, which he refused to do, and challenged anyone to remove him. McArthur approached accused, who struck him j:i the forehead -with the bottle of whisky which he had in his possession, inflicting a nnsty wound. He was committed for trial, bail being allowed.
